1、Rice Breeding Center – Laos-China Agricultural Research and Production Cooperation Project Base
The Laos Agricultural Research and Production Cooperation Project Base is jointly developed and constructed by Xuanye (Laos) Co., Ltd., Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Laos Agricultural and Forestry Research Institute, with a cooperation period of 20 years.
This project is led by Bai Lianyang, academician of the CAE Member. Based on the existing ecological agricultural resources and industrial characteristics of Laos, it aims to help Laos improve agricultural technology and productivity and promote the agricultural transformation of Laos. The completion of the project will promote agricultural technology cooperation between Laos and Hunan Province, facilitate agricultural technology research and development in both regions, radiate and drive the development of agriculture in Southeast Asia, create a Chinese agricultural brand, and achieve the multilateral win-win goal of "going global" for agricultural technology and "bringing back" for high-quality products.
2、China-Laos Joint Soybean Research Center
The China-Laos Joint Soybean Research Center project is a key international agricultural technology cooperation project jointly established by the Lao National Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, Nanjing Agricultural University, and Xuan Ye Company. lt is an important part of leading the development of agriculture in Laos, a leading force in achieving agricultural modernization transformation, a powerful guarantee for increasing grain production and income in Laos, a cradle for cultivating new agricultural technologies and varieties in Laos, a demonstration base for agricultural production, and further strengthening agricultural cooperation between China and Laos. The construction of this project can effectively promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of Academician Gai Junyi's team in the field of soybean seed industry, and select new varieties suitable for planting in ASEAN countries. lt is another major achievement of China's "going global" in soybean research.
At present, the China Laos Big Bean Joint Research Center led by Gai Junyi, an academician of the CAE Member, has landed in the Vientiane Xuanye Scientific Research Test Station, and soybean trial planting has been successful, with an output of 180-230 kg per mu. From 2023 to 2024, Nanjing Agricultural University will send two vice presidents to visit Laos to deepen comprehensive cooperation. In August 2024, Vice President Wang Yuanchao of Nanjing Agricultural University and his delegation visited Laos and were warmly received by leaders such as Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Laos Fang Hong, Vice President of the Laotian Parliament Somma Pholsena, and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Kykeo SINGNAVONG.
3、Laos-China Improved Breed Beef Cattle Research Demonstration Center
On March 31, 2021, Xuanye (Laos) Co., Ltd. and Hunan Agricultural University officially signed a scientific and technological cooperation framework agreement on the joint construction of the "China Laos (ASEAN) Joint Research Center for Animal Husbandry". The purpose is to respond to the relevant agricultural development strategic plans of China and Laos. Through school enterprise cooperation, under the leadership of two CAE Member from Yin Yulong and Zou Xuexiao, Xuanye will provide scientific research achievements and scientific and technological talent support for international agricultural cooperation between the two countries, improve the level of animal husbandry and the planting technology of fruits and vegetables in Laos, and jointly build Xuanye's scientific research base in Laos into a key project, joint research center and scientific and technological demonstration center for international agricultural cooperation between China and Laos.
4、China Laos Cooperative Crop Variety Experimental Station
On April 7, 2021, Xuanye (Laos) Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Agricultural Vocational and Technical University officially signed a cooperation framework agreement in Nanning, Guangxi. The purpose is to respond to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative, promote agricultural science and technology exchanges between China and Laos, and achieve the multilateral win-win goal of "going out" of agricultural technology and "bringing back" of high-quality agricultural products. Based on the "China Laos Cooperative Crop Variety Experimental Station" Vientiane Station, the two sides will carry out extensive cooperation and exchanges in conducting experimental demonstrations, jointly cultivating talents, jointly formulating standards, jointly applying for and implementing China Laos agricultural cooperation projects, and promoting the integrated development of schools and enterprises.
